Summary:

Mr. Rubio is a former Of Counsel with the law firm of Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal and has over ten years experience practicing intellectual property law.  Mr. Rubio provides a broad range of intellectual property services for his clients, including intellectual property licensing, due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions, copyright, patent and trademark portfolio management and development, non-infringement and invalidity opinions, and the preparation and prosecution of foreign and domestic trademark and patent applications in a wide-range of technical fields.  Mr. Rubio's areas of expertise include electromagnetic systems including antennas, RF, microwave, millimeter-wave and optical systems, GPS, satellite, wireless and land-based telephonic communications technologies, information coding and secure networks, optical networks, sensor technology, power amplifiers, digital processing, imaging technology, processor architecture, solid-state /semiconductor layout and processing, automated systems, software, electro-mechanical equipment and medical device technologies.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Rubio has seven years experience as a design engineer for Hughes Aircraft Company in both the Space and Communication and Radar Systems groups. His technical experience as a practicing engineer includes satellite communications, advanced electromagnetic systems and antennas, digital systems and image processing.
