She provides a broad range of intellectual property services for her clients, including intellectual property licensing, patent and trademark portfolio management and development, non-infringement and invalidity opinions, and the preparation and prosecution of foreign and domestic patent and trademark applications in a wide-range of technical fields, including software; electro-mechanical equipment, including, food processing/packaging equipment, mail and document processing equipment, and small and large appliances; medical preparations; wireless communications technologies; professional and consumer audio equipment; houseware products and motorcycle parts. While at Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal, Ms. Hamilton acted as primary intellectual property counsel for a large diversified privately held company specializing in acquiring and nurturing middle-market companies in a variety of industry sectors, including, consumer packaged goods, consumer products, industrial goods & machinery, paper and packaging, pharmaceuticals & healthcare, media & printing, and technology services. Ms. Hamilton assisted with the merger & acquisition of the middle market companies, performing extensive due diligence on intellectual property being acquired and/or sold. Once acquired, Ms. Hamilton acted as primary counsel for all the intellectual property needs of the conglomerate companies across all industry sectors. Through this representation, Ms. Hamilton was responsible for performing and preparing patent and trademark clearance and availability opinions for a variety of technologies, brands and products. Ms. Hamilton further maintained the U.S. patent and trademark docket for these conglomerate companies and assisted these companies with all their licensing needs, which included the preparation and negotiation of technology transfer agreements; technology license agreements; trademark license agreements; joint development agreements; alliance agreements; service agreements; consulting agreements, distribution agreements, publishing agreements, non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements and letters of intent.
