Summary:

Mr. Gloekler has over ten years of experience practicing intellectual property law.  In particular, Mr. Gloekler counsels clients in the development and management of patent and trademark portfolios, including procuring and enforcing patents and trademarks in both the U.S. and foreign jurisdictions. In addition, Mr. Gloekler provides invalidity, infringement, and clearance opinions relating to intellectual property rights.  Mr. Gloekler has experience in preparing patent and trademark applications for a wide range of technologies, including automated, electro-mechanical, MEMS, microfluidics, chemical/analytical, medical, surgical, semiconductor, and devices and processes, as well as materials fabrication technologies and premier-branded industrial equipment and home appliances.  Mr. Gloekler’s clients include both corporate entities and research universities. 

Mr. Gloekler also has experience representing clients in patent, trademark, copyright, unfair competition, false advertising, and antitrust litigation, in federal courts as well as the U.S. International Trade Commission and patent opposition proceedings in foreign tribunals.  Mr. Gloekler has counseled clients in the maintenance and enforcement of trade dress and product configurations, including a well-known barbeque grill manufacturer and automotive products manufacturer.  Mr. Gloekler has assisted clients in recording their patents and trademark registrations with the U.S. Customs Service and seeking exclusion orders to prevent the importation of counterfeit or infringing products.  In addition, Mr. Gloekler has assisted owners of famous trademarks and copyrights in the enforcement and policing of their property rights, including rights relating to movie production and to the publication and distribution of products related to cartoon/comics characters.
