Summary:

Becky Christensen, founding partner of O'Connor, Christensen and McLaughlin, Trial Division of the Eclipse Group LLP, is an intellectual property litigator with extensive experience in fast paced, complex litigation, including trademark infringement, copyright infringement, patent infringement, trade secret matters and related commercial tort and antitrust claims.  Many trials to verdict, including $3.5 million jury verdict for trade dress infringement and trial of trademark counterfeiting claims.


Selected Cases & Issues:

  • Successfully enforced alleged trade dress rights for confidential damages, attorney fees and the destruction of allegedly infringing inventory for motorcycle accessories designer in pretrial settlement in Carlini v. V-Twin, (C.D. Cal. 2006)
  • Won $1.08 million dollar judgment for dietary supplement company against trademark licensee, Healthy Solutions v. ITV Direct, (D. Mass 2005)

  • Won a $3.5 million dollar jury verdict for trade dress infringement in C.D. Cal., in the retail baby products industry, Perine Lowe v. Dolly.

  • Successfully enforced publicity rights in the nutraceuticals industry, obviating the need for litigation, Litigants Confidential.

  • Won payment to defendants on patent infringement defense for a multimillion dollar laptop LCD screen patent, case ID confidential, E.D. Va

  • Won mediated settlement in the amount prayed for in a design misappropriation and breach of contract case in the retail baby products industry, Case ID Confidential, in the C. D. Cal.

  • Won a preliminary injunction against copyright infringers in decorative kitchen goods market, KK Merchandise v. BIC Enterprises, C. D. Cal.

  • Successfully defended trademark infringement and unfair competition claims for personal computer OEM, Case ID Confidential, C.D. Cal. Plaintiff’s Demand: $1,000,000. Result: payment to defendants.

  • Successful trademark and copyright infringement defense of more than ten companies against Microsoft Corporation.

  • Successful defense of trade secret formulas for perfumes and lotions, Case ID Confidential, C.D. Cal.
